MCC
makes the Final of the OCL. Helped by a devastating bowling spell
from Shuaib and a controlled 126* from Zafar, MCC chased 214 to
dispatch PCC in the Semi finals of the OCL. This weekend in a
rematch of last years final MCC with it's fasting contingent and beer
drinkers will take on BCC. Come along to North Plains from 10:30
am to support the team.

semi final victory read the fine penmanship from George.

Forget
August and focus on September. That's where the trophies are won.
The month started off in fine style with grass roots cricket,
played how it was designed to be played. Two innings over two
days with great food, plenty of beer and lots of friends. Thanks
to our Canadians friends for another fabulous weekend of cricket.
This year it will be remembered as the Barker's game :)
Following
this there was a double header weekend game. Must wins to
guarantee playoffs (such an American invention!). The team turned
up to play this time crushing
PCC on Saturday and then
Crusaders on Sunday.
August match reports are now posted. Not so good a set of results this past month. It was nice to see Gavin make his
first outing of the year with a 5 wkt haul as well as another Zafar
century.
- BCC lost by 9 wickets
- PCC lost by 15 runs
- NWCC won by 8 wickets
- BCC lost by 64 runs
